Starting 1 December 2016, ICANN will enforce a revised Transfer Policy. The policy revisions are aimed at reducing the risk of domain hijacking and fraud. The most significant change in this Transfer Policy is the change of registrant procedure.

As of December 1, each time a registrant’s name, organization or email address is changed:

* The old and the new registrant will receive an email. Both of them need to confirm the change.

* After the change has been confirmed and processed, the old and the new registrant will receive an email notification.

* Consequently, the domain name will be locked for transfer to another registrar for 60 days.

The policy requires you to acquire consent from the old registrant and the new registrant in a secure manner.
Please make sure that the email of requesting parties are correct and email doesn't bounce or get stuck in a spamfilter, before starting a transfer.
